Seafood Market

Hokkaido is really well-known for its seafood availability. We had been eating crab since on the Day 1 we arrived, now, i think we even smell and look like a crab. Not to mention the sudden rise of our cholesterol.

See, most stalls in the market are selling crabs, no wonder we eat crab everyday.

Snowmobile

One of the snow sports we played in Hokkaido is snowmobile, it is not as slippery as skiing and the machine is easy to manouver. Just the right type of sport for fat lady like us, Ha ha ha.......

Traditional Japanese Dinner

The traditional Japanese dinner setting we had tonight was Wow........."very class".

The sashimi below was good but we do not like the "salad raw octopus" below.

These raw octopus was suppose to eat with steam potatoes. But it does not taste that good. Or shall i said we are not used to it.

Cold Cold weather

Who told me Hokkaido is not cold?? Shoot him/her. It is really extremely tremendously COLD. I have proofs..........Read the thermometer, it is -6 degree celsius !!!!

The whole area is cover with thick snow, not to mention the heavy wind blowing on your body.

Even the lake is partially frozen with ice. Who dare to say it is not cold again, KILL THEM.

Crab Meal

Today was fun, we go for "crab fishing". The whole pond was full of crabs. BLACKSWAN and me were never skill with such activities, so, we caught zero crab, luckily LOBSTER was expert and she managed to catch 3 big crabs.

During dinner later, we will ate one of them, our own KETAM.

This is the crab that we will had for tonight dinner. Dont know what species it is called, something like TA....GA....RA probably. It weigh as heavy as 1.3Kg.

On our dinner menu, we had crab sashimi, crab steamboat, salmon and ice-cream.

See.............., the crab looks really different once cook, its meat is so soft and bubbly.

JAL Plane Meal

HOKKAIDO, here we come......................

Our first experience travelling with the JAL (Japanese Airline). Normally with RBA/SQ, we get to choose what meal would you like to have but for JAL, everyone ate the same thing.

At first we expect to see the standard breakfast meal (like egg, sausage and grilled tomatoes) but guess what, we saw porridge. Steady leh............

Apparently, the porridge does taste good and we all finish it up, not a single drop left. Even the Cha-Soba was yummy too. No wonder people say Japanese product is more better, ha ha ha............

Japanese Toilet

Even though the toilet space was really small(just like in London), but there is one thing which BLACKSWAN loves very much. That will be the toilet seat.

Please do not laugh, the toilet seat is full of functions, all the buttons by the side is useful. Besides, in this cold weather, imagine sitting on a warm toilet seat. Wah......... BLACKSWAN even want to buy one of these back to Brunei.

Sleeping on Tatami

Being in Japan, of course we need to try sleeping on Tatami mat. It is tradition and culture experience.

Please do not be fool that your body will ache if you sleep on the floor. Believe me, you will not, I had been sleeping on Tatami for 9 days and my body does not ache a single bit at all.

See, the cupboard was full of all the necessary bed sheet, mattress and etc etc.

My tatami bag, COOL right?

Hokkaido First Meal

Our first meal in Hokkaido - Lunch.

We had salmon, scallop and shrimp, Woooooo................{saliva dripping} everyone loves their food. Actually, everyone is hungry, that is why nobody complain. Ha ha ha...................
