Prisoner inside the room

Today i was a prisoner inside my own room. The unexpected happen....
I noticed it a few days before but i just couldn't be bother to do anything about it. So today i was locked from inside the room.
The door was not locked but it just wouldn't opened. Thinking i can fix it, i dismantle the door knob. This is the outcome of my limited experience in being an unprofessional locksmith.

Help came to free me......

I'm still locked from inside.... so the help didnt help. They did help though by posing for the camera. Thx for that...

View from my knob circle......
Anyway help did come in the end. My eldest bro came to the rescue to bail me out. Remove everything and install a new door knob for me. Freedommmmmmm......phew.

Thx Valerie for letting me be a guest...... *Sandra*

Crocs

At last, Sandra and me had purchased our own Crocs, same colour and same type but different design button only, he he he.......
The shoe is really light and comfortable. Not only it does not result in blister and swollen leg. However, there are holes by the side of the shoes, so, there are air-ventilation across the feet to reduce heat and sweat on our feet. Good stuff, right??

Anyhow, need to say thank you to Sandra "Nike slipper" too because if there are not hungry after 2 days of full-blast walking around, we will not have accidentally bump into the Crocs shop in Causeway Bay. ^_*

Tofu Salad

Dont be wrong, this is not caeser salad and the white stuff is not cheese at all, there are "TOFU", soft silky tofu.

When someone mention tofu-salad, my mind automatically develop a messy-mushy picture of smash tofu being tossed with lettuce, olive and tomatoes. Disgusting leh........However, once eaten, the disgusting picture disappear and a satisfaction of delicious fill our brain.

Nevertheless, this tofu-salad dish will be tasteless if we did not mixed the salad with a tiny bowl of amazing brown-color salad "dressing", which is a blend mixture of sesame sauce and cheese. This appetizer is really something different.

But as this appetizer is not available in Brunei, anyone whom want to try it out will have to find it elsewhere. Anyhow, do email us if any of you know where to eat this.

Hui Lau Shan

Hong Kong most famous dessert shop, can be found everywhere in any states, their specialty is MANGO MANGO MANGO.

Even Sandra, someone whom does not like mango at all (Coz' her house is surrounded by different types of mango trees. When i last counted, there are altogether 15 mango trees.......is basically a small mango farm. ^_^) has become addicted to the drink. When we are in Hong Kong, she must drank at least 2 cups per day.

Look at the Mango+santan drink, it is really tasty.....

This is the thick coconut milk + coconut juice+ bird nest steam inside a young coconut. (Sandra favourite)

Fresh fruits and other drinks avilable too.....

This one is fresh mango cubes + santan + mango ice-cream + rice ball + Mango juice crushed ice, it is amazingly tasty. If you think this is very sweet, then you are wrong as I am very sugar-conscious due to diabetes.

Another Sandra favourite with Japanese red bean + santan + Mango juice+ Mango cubes.

Food in Hong Kong

During this trip to Hong Kong, Sandra and I managed to try out a lot of these "snacks" there. And amazingly, some of them taste really good but there are also a few disgusting stuff which Sandra reluctant to eat and almost got herself vomit, so automatically, the food-testing task lands on my shoulder.

First comes the popular curry-fishballs, which basically is fishball + curry sauce. May be we comes from a country whereby curry is a common dish, therefore, there is nothing special with this curry-fishball.

However, the fishball stall looks a bit not that "clean" lah.
But the taste still ok lah...... can still swallow....

Next is the deep-fry "junk foods" section, which varies from smelly-tofu, fish-fillet, sausage, beef-ball, yam-cake to etc etc. Normally located at the corner shop of any shopping area like Mongkok, causeway bay also have.

Wow, looks yummy yummy......mouth-watering loh.....

There are also others food like the "egg-tart bakery" shop selling all the different typre of egg-tart.

This traditional kuih-muih, known as "Put chai Koi", rarely seen around already.

And also this Korean-style cold noodle which i dont like at all, as it is so cold, you feel like eating last night noodle soup from the fridge. Not nyaman at all.

Hong Kong Flight

3 hours of flight without the option to choose our own personal skyshow entertainment, , our only conclusion is bored bored bored....... However, the passengers around us are very entertainning.

=> There is this chinese man sitting on row 46 whom wipe his utensils after finishing his food. Sandra and me were laughing endlessly looking at him. Of course he doesnt know we are laughing about him as he keeps on smiling to us. In the end, we saw him "ta pau" all the plastic plates of the flight meal, then click-clock, no wonder he is wiping the plates.

=> Those chinese passengers whom played cards and shout loudly at each other attracts half of the passengers from the flight to look at them. Playing in their own world, they do not bother at all.

=> Moreover, they is this young couple(seems like just married) cant stop kissing at each other in front of us. If it is a small kiss, we can understand lah, loving couple mah but playing with tongue........wait till the hotel lah.

Strange Advertisement Idea

Walking on the street in Hong Kong, Sandra and me came across this two advertisement icon.

At first, Sandra was scared by this monster nurse whom advertise for a design gallery. Looking at the monster, wonder who will go to the design gallery

Then, as we walk further ahead, we saw a piece of meat dancing on the street. Not actually dancing lah but the weather is too cold and the "meat" is shivering.

Certain UnProfessional Japanese Restaurant

Having lunch with my twin sister, Sandra a few days ago in a Japanese Restaurant at town. Who knows, the customer service is really terrible, just because we do not wear like a "bird", they treat us as if we could not afford to pay for the food.

Anyhow, patiently we order our food but the quality of the food is awful too. Already the service is horrible plus tasteless food again, it is such an unpleasant lunch we had.

First come this 100Kg - sugary lychee drink whereby Sandra had ask for "reduce sugar" but somehow it taste like "add more sugar".

Then................ Look at what we order from the menu....We order this Scallop Furai coz it look so delicious from the menu. Well, who knows, when the scallop furai comes, it becomes like this ........Already it looks so different and they cut each small thin scallop into half again to make the dish looks more. Anyway, it is still thin and less by the way.

Similarly, with Sandra favourite chicken asparagus dish, the dish turns out to be a disaster. Looks like the chef is not happy to prepare food for us. Here is the outcome of the food;

And compare them with the menu.......Cannot fight huh, really seems like a hyprocrit human being......

A lesson to be learned: NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY THE COVER.

Chicken or Fish Egg ?

Happily I sat down on my seat at the dinner table. Once I saw this dish, automatically I pick up my fork and get a piece to put into my mouth. Who knows…….

Chew -> feel weird -> taste different, not like chicken -> chew some more -> chew again

This is not CHICKEN lah, it is FISH EGG. Look at the size of the fish egg. It is really big, and look closely, you will see all the nerves on the egg.
