Unseen, Unknown But Exist

Recently watched a long-series known as “Beauty”, the movie show cast the life-span of a so-called spirit intermediary(靈媒). The title of the series really does not match leh.....

In ancient times, these spirit-intermediaries were referred using different terms. For those male spirit-intermediaries, they were named wizard while for female, they were known as witch. In religious study, the name evolves from sorcerer, medicine man, magician to Shamans.

Commonly, spirit-intermediary is someone whom has the ability to communicate with god, demons, spirits and etc. They are the bridge link of human with other supernatural being. Most of the time, they dispatch certain spirits and gods to drive out those trap in “our world”. Logically, they are also our home-psychiatrist that helps people to overcome all sort of difficulties in real life. Therefore, we basically grew up with them in our life indirectly.

However, it had never came across my mind that a spirit-intermediary might be forced into this “job” that he/she does not want to be involved with at all. But life has never been easy……

As I watch the series, I began to pity those spirit-intermediaries. Of course, there is always a minor group of them who pretend and lies for money. Well, in a group of saints, there is always one or two mole, the spoiler.

Nevertheless, the series is really good and help your brain grows. Besides learning about spirit-intermediary, it is also a series on determination, courage, family-bonds and patience on life.

One thing I hate about the series is the overwhelming crying scene……which is "common" for a korean series.
